A Golden Podcast – For the first time in history, the Golden Globes will present an award for Best Podcast at the upcoming ceremony. Luminate Data started with a shortlist of 25 podcasts mostly reflecting the most listened to shows that the voting body was then able to select from. While it remains unclear what criteria were used to select the best podcasts, voters seemed to eschew political podcasts for those that were more comedy or entertainment based, with shows from Amy Poehler, Dax Sheppard, and Jason Bateman receiving nods.
